Photographs

Before glass, there was the darkroom. In the 1990s the artist made hand-coloured analog photographs: black-and-white prints coloured by hand. The negatives span decades; the fishing boats were photographed in the 1970s, when he was in high school, then printed and hand-coloured in the 1990s. Some of the same subjects later became glass.
